First and foremost, make sure you store your helmet in a cool and dry place where it won’t be exposed to direct sunlight. Excessive heat can damage the foam lining inside the helmet, while UV rays can cause the outer shell to fade or crack over time. Also avoid storing it near any chemicals or solvents which may cause damage. Never store your helmet in a hot car, they can melt or degrade.
After each use wipe down the exterior of the helmet with a clean cloth removing any dirt that may have accumulated during use.
